ADAPT — Reishi + Turkey Tail Spagyric

The Extraction: ADAPT is a small-batch spagyric extraction of red reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) and turkey tail (Trametes versicolor). It is made in-house, in small runs, and it has stayed a single formulation since we began.

The Mushrooms: Reishi has been used in Chinese medicine for more than two thousand years, where it is described as calming the spirit and tonifying qi. Turkey tail is one of the most widely studied medicinal mushrooms in the world, valued for its polysaccharide content. Together they are traditionally used to support immune function, restful sleep, and the body's capacity to adapt to stress.

The Process: Spagyric comes from the Greek spao and ageiro — to separate and to recombine. The mushrooms are macerated in alcohol for four to six weeks, drawing out the volatile essence. The remaining matter is then simmered in filtered spring water. Finally, what is left is calcined — burned to a fine ash and purified over repeated firings until the mineral salts are freed from the plant body.

Those three parts — tincture, tea, and ash — are recombined and left to extract for two to three weeks more. Nothing is discarded. What most extractions throw away, this one puts back.

It is slow, and it does not scale. That is the point.

How to Take It: One to two dropperfuls daily, under the tongue or in water. A 2oz bottle lasts roughly two months at two dropperfuls a day.
