Coleus forskohlii is a member of the mint family (Lamiaceae) that grows wild in the warm subtropical regions of India, Burma, and Thailand, where it has a long history in Ayurvedic practice. It remains the only known plant source of the diterpene forskolin — a molecule that, once isolated, became a standard laboratory tool precisely because of how directly it acts.
Forskolin activates adenylate cyclase, the enzyme that converts ATP into cyclic AMP. Cyclic AMP is one of the body's principal second messengers: the intracellular signal that many hormones rely on to have any effect at all. Supporting normal cAMP levels means supporting the ordinary responsiveness of cells to the signals they already receive, including those governing normal lipid metabolism and healthy body composition.
This formulation pairs the standardized root extract ForsLean® with N-acetyl-L-tyrosine, a more stable and soluble form of the amino acid precursor to the catecholamines. The two occupy complementary points in the same signaling chain.
Studies conducted with ForsLean® used 250 mg daily — one capsule morning and evening, half an hour before a meal.
Available in 60 capsules.
