Hyaluronic Acid (Injuv® 70 mg, providing 6.3 mg Hyaluronic Acid)

Hyaluronic acid is the body's water-holding molecule. A single gram can bind several liters — it is what gives the vitreous humor of the eye its jelly, what cushions synovial fluid, and what keeps young skin plump. It is not a nutrient in the classical sense; it is a glycosaminoglycan the body makes and continually turns over, and production declines with age.

Taken orally, hyaluronic acid presents a problem: the native molecule is enormous, and large polymers are poorly absorbed from the gut. Injuv® addresses this with a low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid complex — enzymatically processed to a size the intestine can actually take up. The softgel delivers 70 mg of the complex, yielding 6.3 mg of hyaluronic acid.

It is used to support the normal hydration and elasticity of skin and to help maintain healthy connective tissue and joint lubrication. The mechanism is replenishment of a substrate the body is already spending, and like most such things it asks for consistency rather than dramatics.
