Monocombo

A four-part formula built around a 300 mg base, combined with ivy leaf extract, lysozyme, and polylysine. Each component arrives from a different tradition.

Ivy leaf — Hedera helix, the evergreen climber of European walls and churchyards — has a long history in European herbal practice, where its saponins have been used to support normal, comfortable respiratory function and the ordinary clearing of the airways.

Lysozyme is an enzyme Alexander Fleming discovered in 1922, after a drop from his own runny nose landed on a culture plate. It is abundant in tears, saliva, and egg white — the body's own secretions — where it forms part of normal mucosal housekeeping.

Polylysine is a chain of linked lysine residues, positively charged along its length, used in food systems as a natural preservative and included here as a companion to the enzyme.

Together the formula is used to support normal immune and mucosal function. As with all Ecological Formulas products, it is made without diluents, binders, or fillers.
