Fish do not make omega-3 fatty acids. Algae do. The DHA that concentrates up the marine food chain into salmon and sardines originates in microalgae, and the fish are merely the intermediate step — an inefficient one, and the reason fish oil carries the burden of everything else the fish accumulated along the way.
Neuromins goes to the source. The DHA here is cultivated directly from marine algae, which means no fish, no oceanic contaminant load, and no fish burp. It is also, incidentally, vegetarian.
Docosahexaenoic acid is a structural fat, not primarily a fuel. It is the most abundant omega-3 in the brain and is concentrated with striking specificity in the phospholipid membranes of neuronal synapses and in the photoreceptor outer segments of the retina. Its long, highly unsaturated chain gives membranes the flexibility that receptor proteins need in order to change shape and function. Roughly a quarter of the fatty acid content of the retina is DHA.
Each softgel supplies 100 mg of DHA, used to support normal brain function and healthy vision.
50 softgels.
