The stinging nettle earns its name. Each hair on the leaf is a tiny glass syringe that snaps off at the tip and injects its contents into the skin. Urtica dioica has nonetheless been eaten, brewed, and spun into cloth across Europe for millennia — Bronze Age burial shrouds have been found woven from nettle fiber — because once the plant is dried or cooked, the sting is gone and what remains is a leaf unusually dense in minerals and plant compounds.

Pollenase uses a freeze-dried extract of the leaf. Lyophilization removes water at low temperature under vacuum, which preserves the heat-sensitive constituents that ordinary drying degrades. Nettle leaf is traditionally used to support the body's normal seasonal response and normal histamine balance, and it supplies flavonoids and other polyphenols that contribute to antioxidant status.

This is a plain botanical preparation — the leaf, freeze-dried, and nothing else. Free of corn, soy, wheat, yeast, and other common allergens, in Ecological Formulas' hypoallergenic practice since 1981.

How to read this formulation.

The product page is a commerce record, not a research conclusion. Read the source and label first; keep the claim inside the evidence.

Who made it, what form is present, and which details come from the label or manufacturer documentation?

02

Formulation

Ingredients, concentrations, preparation, directions, and format before any inference about effect.

03
