Chewable Pectin, Lecithin & Mucin Formula

Refluxin is a chewable tablet built around a simple physical idea rather than a chemical one. It combines three mucoprotective agents, pectin from fruit, lecithin from soy, and mucin, the glycoprotein that gives mucous membranes their slipperiness. On contact with stomach contents these form a viscous, buoyant layer that floats at the top of the stomach.

What makes this approach unusual is what it does not do. Refluxin does not appreciably neutralize gastric acid, and it does not suppress its production. Stomach acid is not a design flaw; it is required for the normal breakdown of protein, for the release of vitamin B12 from food, for the absorption of iron and calcium, and for maintaining the normal, sterile character of the upper digestive tract. Formulations that shut acid down interfere with all of it. Refluxin leaves gastric acid, and its normal functions, intact.

The tablets are used to support the normal protective lining of the esophagus and to help maintain healthy, comfortable digestion. Chew thoroughly, ideally after meals or before lying down. Gluten free and casein free. Contains soy.
