Pollen is a plant's entire inheritance packed into a grain: the amino acids, lipids, sterols, flavonoids, and coenzymes required to build the next generation. The Swedish preparation, developed in the 1960s, was among the first to treat pollen as a raw material for extraction rather than as a food — separating the nutritive interior from the tough, allergenic outer shell.
That separation is the whole engineering problem, and it is why the extract is not the same thing as bee pollen. The allergenic proteins live in the exine, the outer wall. A properly made pollen extract leaves them behind.
Swedish Flower Pollen is a clinical-strength formulation of standardized water-soluble amino acid fraction G60 and standardized lipid-soluble phytosterol fraction GFX, from Graminex® rye grass flower pollen extract, in a 20:1 ratio — 63 mg per tablet. It is a non-solvent extract.
The two fractions are used to support normal prostate and urinary function in men, healthy urinary flow, and the body's normal antioxidant defenses. Both men and women use it as a broad-spectrum source of pollen-derived nutrients.
Available in 60 tablets.
