T Cell Formula (Thymus & Vitamin C)

The thymus is the organ where T lymphocytes are educated. Immature cells arrive from the bone marrow, and in the thymic cortex they are tested against the body's own proteins; those that react too strongly are eliminated. What emerges is a population of cells that can distinguish self from non-self. The organ is largest in childhood and involutes steadily with age, replaced by fat — one of the more literal illustrations of what aging does.

Vitamin C is included alongside it. Leukocytes concentrate ascorbate to levels many times that of plasma, and it is required for the normal function of those cells and for their protection against the oxidative burden of their own activity.

The formula is used to support normal immune function.
